The Times say Craig Bellamy is to undergo two surgical operations that are likely to keep the striker out for the rest of the season. The West Ham striker is to have surgery on a knee and his groin.

Despite playing and scoring in a recent friendly Bellamy apparently felt uncomfortable after the game. It now seems he is unlikely to add significantly to his seven starts for West Ham this season.
