Bellamy Out for Season

The Daily Mail, having last week wrongly informed the world that Scott Parker was out for the rest of the season, now claim the same for Craig Bellamy. They say Bellamy has has had a recurrence of his abdominal problems. They even have a quote from West Ham manager Alan Curbishley this time,

"Craig is still feeling sore. We will have to assess things all over again."

This seems to be the sum total of their evidence for this 'season ending' injury so hopefully the story is as big a pile of Mail journalism as the Parker story.

Someone on the KUMB forums broke this story a few days back, saying they had spoken directly with the family. He appears to be a little bit legit, so I fear there's something in this story..

Yes - I read that too but waited until one of the newspapers reported it.

Curbishley's quote suggests there is a problem but hopefully it doesn't sound like a major setback.

this is typical of exactly why the daily mail is inferior. what is the point in a newspaper reporting that the player is out for the season when they can t prove that to be the case. it s not for the daily mail to be turning a "setback" into an "out for the season" when they lack the facts to prove that . it s irresponsible journalism ,which is something the daily mail excels at with regards to west ham

Why does the Daily Mail repeatedly print crap about West Ham?

has anyone ever heard of the Daily Mail printing any truth or giving the Irons any praise?
