West Ham Internationals

Apparently Matthew Upson partnered Rio Ferdinand in central defence during England's training session yesterday. It could be that Upson is in line for a place in the starting eleven.

Mark Noble did play a starring role in England Under 21's 3-0 win against the Republic of Ireland in their 2009 European Under-21 Championship qualifier yesterday. England now lead their group by nine points but Portugal have two games in hand in second place.

James Tomkins helped set up a goal for England Under-19s friendly win against Croatia. With England already 1-0 up Tomkins set up Aston Villa's Ciaran Clark in the second half for England's second goal in this 2-0 win. Freddie Sears looked lively when he was brought on as a substitute.

Jack Collison got Wales Under 21's third goal in their 4-0 defeat of Malta. Wales now top their European Under-21 Championship qualifying group.
