Zamora Back With a Bang for West Ham

Bobby Zamora demonstrated what has been missing up front for the first team by scoring a hat-trick for the reserves. What was even more cheering for West Ham fans was that he and Faubert seemed to have an instant understanding as between them they steered West Ham to a 4-1 win over Birmingham Reserves.

Zamora and Faubert combined well in the lead up to West Ham's first goal before Collison was set up to score from the right side of the penalty area. The second goal came when Zamora spun on the ball leaving the Birmingham defence for dead before smashing the ball home.

Goal numbers three and four both came from Faubert crosses from the right wing, both of which Zamora converted expertly.

this is good news ,and timley ,given that bellamy seems to be out indefinitely now. as carlton cole acknowledged, his partnership with ashton has been problematic. injecting zamora into the mix may shake things up a bit ,and force a better workrate out of ashton,if ashton wants to avoid sitting on the bench. before his injury zamora had an awkward start to this season, so hopefully he will have something to prove
