West Ham News Round Up

Craig Bellamy should be back in training in two weeks but is probably some way off a return to first team action.

According to PhysioRoom Matty Etherington, Faubert and Bowyer are all expected to return from injury this week.

West Ham Reserves are in action tonight against Derby County (this game has been moved from tomorrow night). The game will be played at Bishop Stortford's Woodside Park home. Kick Off is at 7pm.

etherington cud be a timely addition. having him in place of boa morte shud make a significant difference.

and perhaps now it s time to try ashton and cole together again, despite the fact that it hasn t worked brilliantly before.
why? because finally, dean ashton is showing a bit of fire in the belly . if ashton were fully fit ,and him and cole still cudn t gel, then perhaps one wud have to admit that they re not meant to play together. i think zamora can contribute ,but for the moment id prefer to see him come off the bench. if he does well as a sub, then perhaps he shud start.

solano -in, at fullback, with neill in the center, assuming no upson, and with spector off on international duty.

mullins is a good player ,and does what he s good at well, but we need more creativity on the pitch .
as poor as we ve been defensively recently,we need to create chances , so that our defence is not constantly under pressure. and that means we need mark noble, even if he hasn t been his sprkling best recently. noble is a fighter ,and one thing the team needs immediately is a bit of intensity.

pantsil also deserves serious consideration ,preferably on the w ing, but with spector out ,it may make sense for him to play right back and move neill into the middle . i think he s better as a right midfielder than as a right back, but given our injuries, the latter has to be considered.

it wudn t hurt to have bowyer on the bench either. he can be inconsistent, but he rarely lacks fight or intensity ,which is something we clearly need a bit of at the moment.
