West Ham Sign Hungarian Striker

Here is a signing that seems to have been missed by most of the media and even the West Ham official site. According to yesterday's Sun West Ham have signed young Hungarian striker Balint Bajner from Romanian second division side CF Liberty Oradea.

The 17-year-old striker was on trial at Upton Park in April and apparently impressed by scoring two goals in a friendly. He may face James Tomkins and Freddie Sears in the UEFA U-19 Championships, which start next week, as he is a part of Hungary's squad for the tournament.

Hungary coach Tibor Sisa said this about the youngster,

"Balint is a very good young player who is heading for the top. He is technically gifted and developing well.

In spring his club sent him over to England for a trial. He did well then and I am sure he will be a success.
