Lies, Liers & Damned Lies

The Daily Mirror were doing so well. Just this week they attacked Sheffield Utd for their double standards (West Ham and the Iain Hulme attempted murder) but now they've ruined it all.

The Daily Mirror today claim that West Ham will sell seven players in January. The Mirror says the seven to go will be:

Dean Ashton Nigel Quashie, Lee Bowyer, Luis Boa Morte, Calum Davenport, Danny Gabbidon and Jonathan Spector.

Where in lies the obvious flaw in The Mirror's story.

Who is going to buy a one legged Dean Ashton? How much for a spineless Danny Gabbidon?

Birmingham City took five months to decide on a one month loan deal for Nigel Quashie. Are we now to believe there are clubs queueing up to buy him.

Mind you I hear that Barcelona and Man Utd are keen on Boa Morte.

They all need to go, I agree with the Mirror, even Ashton, who is too injury prone to be useful. But who the hell is gonna buy Quashie, Boa Morte or Bowyer? Not even Dagenham & Redbridge, I fear...
Gabbidon was great until his injury problems started; Spector is a Championship player, as is Davenport (I hope not for us, though!)
The problem is that when the Singing and Dancing with Sheff Utd is over and we have to cough up, there is a real danger we may have to sell the likes of Upson and Green, without whom, of course, we wouldnt have anything resembling a Premiership team.
Carlitos got 4 tonight, maybe Sir Alex wants to lend him to us (subject to approval of the contract by Sheff Utd lawyers, of course) as he seems to think that ponce Berbatev is better.
We had some really good players against Liverpool though - an unfit Parker palyed his balls off, Behrami out of position but better than Etherington or Boa Morte will ever be on the left. Get rid of Faubert and put Behrami back on the right. Cole tries and tries - Robhino he ain't but he puts his all into it. Bellamy is an annoying little shit but didn't he play well on Monday night? Collins and Upson were awesome, Green brilliant, Ilunga also very good (despite his sticky arms). Neil looked ordinary (but he has for a long while). Didn't Mullins play well? Bet few people thought he'd still be around under the Zola regime...
Credit to Zola and Clarke for sorting out the shambles that was West Ham in October & part of November, and giving us some hope again.

I agree with Paul...they can all go...with the exception of an injury free Ashton (but he isnt injury free enough to keep!)they are all poor premiership /average championship players...if we are to move forward we dont want players like these on our books.

I'm not saying that West Ham won't try and sell them. I'm saying no-one is going to buy them.

Gabbidon is someone I rate: he played some fantastic football for us. He is still an asset. Bowyer is a good second team player - great back up for mullins; I see them as interchangeable. Deano stays: we certainly aren't scoring anything right now - selling a striker is nuts. The rest can go.

Agree with the comments they can all go! however if they could stay injury free Deano and Gabbidon would be great assets but not going to happen is it!!!, i say get some cash in buy a striker, who? is the big question any one decent is well out of our price range.
god i love being a hammer never a dull moment.

sell them all if we can ? we wont get much money for them, but maybe enough to bring in a goal scorer & a scoring midfielder ! i would add faubert to that list to !
