Etherington Leaves West Ham

Matthew Etherington has joined Stoke from West Ham for an undisclosed fee.

Etherington was West Ham's longest-serving player. He signed in August 2003 and was Hammer of the Year in his first season. Despite Etherington's well documented problems off the field during his time at West Ham he will be remembered fondly by a lot of fans, not least for his play-off semi-final goal against Ipswich.
