Davenport to Sunderland

The firmest rumour to emerge so far today is that Calum Davenport is at Sunderland having a medical. Although there are also rumours suggesting this is just a loan move with an option to buy later.

About 50 minutes ago (2.39pm) the BBC reported that West Ham had told them that they weren't expecting any more arrivals at West Ham today but did confirm Davenport's medical with Sunderland.

Of course that's not enough to stop Sky Sports News who at 4.08pm report that West Ham are in talks with Dinamo Bucharest for defender Sergiu Homei.
