City Priced Out of Upson Bid

The Daily Express and The Independent both claim that West Ham's £15 million valuation of Matthew Upson is more than Mark Hughes is prepared to pay for the 30 year old. They claim he has now turned his attention to signing Sylvain Distin.

The Guardian, however, disagree. They claim city are prepared to pay £12m for him, with a further £3m in 'add-ons'.

West Ham say they don't have to sell.
