West Ham Injury Update

Gianfranco Zola, speaking after today's game, seems to think that the injuries to Upson and Behrami aren't too serious,

"It shouldn't be too bad. For Upson, the muscle got very tight so he had to come off before breaking it. Regarding Behrami, because he had been working a lot in the last few weeks I think he had a little problem with the sciatic nerve so he shouldn't be too bad."

In other news, The News of the World say that Arsenal are going to make a bid in January for Jack Collison and Matthew Upson. They say West Ham will demand £15 million for Upson but "the Boleyn board need to be more realistic".

Why the NoW think the West Ham board should be more realistic is not explained. Presumably they think that Arsenal should just name a price and West Ham should bend over and accept it.

Whilst I don't agree with their assertion, If you read the NOTW article properly it does explain their reasoning by stating "but at age 30 the West Ham board will have to be more realistic"

30 years old my arse. he s a defender, not a striker. Farcenal can get real and pay the price. Or west ham can do the right thing and tell Farce to stick the cash with their red flag
