West Ham to bid for King

The Daily Star claim that West Ham are targeting Wigan Athletic striker Marlon King.

At 29 years of age and unable to force himself into the Wigan first team it would be difficult to see how King would fit into West Ham's stated 'project'. However The Star claim that West Ham are preparing a £1 million bid which, if true, would fit what seems to be the new 'project' of signing old, goal-shy forwards.

The real worry about this kind of story is the suggestion we will still need a new striking option come January, that doesn't bode well for Ashtons chances of recovery.

Relax,we dont really need him anyway becouse we have that Mexican lad and its obvious that Marlon king actually would bring nothing to the team, this story is just made up as not much goes on during the international break.

This must of been one of the big name players we were after....
