Keane 100k a Week More than Mido

David Sullivan has revealed that bringing Robbie Keane to West Ham would have cost £104,000 a week more in wages than what will be paid to Mido.

"We simply can't afford Robbie Keane. Of course, we'd have liked him, who wouldn't? But it would have worked out at £105,000 a week for the rest of this season, as well as a transfer fee. We simply cannot afford it.

"Then we have Mido. It would be one of the most amazing deals of all time.

"He doesn't want to be known as a 'has been' of English football, so he willing to come here to play for a nominal fee, just £1,000 a week."

Hat off to the bloke. I was not impressed when i saw that we had signed him, but he may come good, and if he does not then it has not cost us much. Ball is now in his court. Hope he does well.

I don't understand this grand a week business. Surely he is under contract to Boro and I assume they are paying him more than a thousand a week. Don't they decide how much we pay for him?

yes i agree with above comment!

so mido must still be under contract with middlesbrough so they will be paying him majority of his wages.
