West Ham Nearly Sign Barca Defender

Sky say that West Ham came very close to signing 20 year old Barcelona defender Andreu Fonta. Fonta has a £2.5million buy-out clause in his contract that West Ham offered to meet.

Sky say that the defender had even agreed personal terms with West Ham before Barcelona stepped in and persuaded the defender he was a part of their long term plans and offered him a new long-term deal.

I nearly bought a Porsche the other day. Until I realised I didn't have the money :) Is anyone else depressed and tired of the constant tumours of "possible tranfers", "just missed out on" stories and pie in the sky promises by chairmen who talk the talk but as yet have failed to walk anywhere? I have followed the Hammers for 25 years now and have never felt so deflated by the club's management, even when we were selling our top stars, at least we were honest and open about it, unlike now!

i feel exactly the same.
My son and myself have decided NOT to renew our season tickets this year despite being bombarded with E-mails from the Davids!
I wonder just how many people are of like mind after the recent advertising on Talk Sport to tell us we only have a few days to part up with our hard earned money!
