Sunderland 1 West Ham 2

West Ham gave Upson and Green a rest for this game and also started with Noble and Cole on the bench.

West Ham took the lead after some good early play when in the 35th minute Piquionne's shot from close range found the bottom right corner of the goal. West Ham however were unable to hold on to the lead for long. Six minutes after losing the goal Sunderland were level after Gyan headed in from five yards from a good Richardson cross.

In the 58th minute West Ham regained the lead after Obinna scored from just inside the penalty area. In the 70th minute Dyer came on for Obinna. In the 78th minute Cole came on for Piquionne and in the 90th minute Noble was brought on for Barrera.

As the half progressed West Ham sat deep and looked to hit Sunderland on the break. In the dying seconds of the game Cole had a really good chance to get his first goal of the season but, after a good run, his shot was easily saved.

A win for West Ham away from home (the first in over a year I think) and goals for Piquionne and Obinna equals a very good result.

Was at the game.

We played well. The defence dis realy well. All of them played well and did not look like the worrying set of players we have seen this season.

Fuabert looked very good. excellent game. Akll that was good went through Parker.

After each goal, when in front we played some nice football and looked confident. bit edgy when on level terms.

Cole should have socred at the end.

Only downside was Boa Morte. Kak. Could not be arsed. played stupid balls, and was knackered.

Great result. Can I make a suggestion to the blogger?

Due to SSN now being removed from (normal people's) TV us regular folk now have one less way of seeing game highlights.

I regularly visit your site for news updates, etc and if you could post match highlights that would be great. Not sure where you could get them from though...

Can I make a suggestion to the blogger too? Can you show the game live and get me a pie and a pepsi at half time? That would be great.

That's a ludicrous suggestion.

Pie and Coke maybe, but Pepsi!?! ;)
