Gabbs Retires from International Football

Danny Gabbidon has retired from international football. Gabbidon has won 43 caps for Wales but has not played for his country since last November due to injury. He was also not named in the squad for Wales' upcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Switzerland.

After his recent excellent performances for West Ham Robert Green has earned a recall to the England squad for the Montenegro game at Wembley on Tuesday week.

The international break probably comes at the wrong time for a resurgent West Ham side but Avram Grant says he isn't worried,

We have an international break if we like it or not. We will try to make the best of it."
