West Ham to Sign Three Players

David Gold says that West Ham are hoping to sign three players in January and the club currently have 15 players that they are targeting,

"We've got 15 irons in the fire, and I mean that literally. We're just concentrating on incomings, and if you get three, you've done good.

The Steve Sidwell deal is not done yet. There's a lot of secret stuff going on; we're trying to outwit our competitors.

We're after a player who is the same type of player one of our competitors is looking for, and we want to keep that as quiet as we can and complete the deal."

So David Gold has 15 players being burnt? I know he is trying to be funny with the pun on irons, but can someone tell him what literally means? He should read this ( http://theoatmeal.com/comics/literally ).
Left back and striker are the main ones we need. Plus cover all over the park and maybe a left winger.

Current options at LB are : Ben Haim,Gabbidon,Ilunga and Spector, only one of which is a natural fullback and left-footed. That ,along with one reliable goal scorer are mandatory. If we are to stay up,we MUST bring in players for these two positions.
