Bridge Set for West Ham

The Star and The Mail both say that West Ham will sign Wayne Bridge on loan in time for him to play against Arsenal on Saturday. Both papers say that West Ham have agreed to pay Bridge's £90,000 a week wages in full.

Elsewhere there is the now normal speculation about Avram Grant's job and some of the papers have also noticed, once again, that Matthew Upson has not renewed his contract with West Ham.

If the deal is done,I think it's a good thing. We have been woefully exposed at left back this season -that has probably cost us more than Cole's inability to score. If u keep a clean sheet,u can't lose matches. Like in the 88th minute at the Emirates.

It may seem ludicrous for us to hav eto pay ALL of his wages, given that he never gets a game for City, but if it helps keep us up ,I think it's worth it. 2 million pounds in wages is a lot for 4 months work but it's a lot cheaper than the 100 million plus cost of going down

Of all the rumours about players this is the guy i most wanted to see at West Ham, he is a quility player, ok he has not played very much for Chelsea or Man City but he had 2 very good players in front of him that would get into most top clubs first 11.
He will bring quality to our defence.
Can we have a striker or (2) now please!!!!

Good news. Though hopefully he is not gonna be another high earner in the doctors office. Thats all our high earners seem to do!
