McCartney Rejoins

George McCartney is back at West Ham on a season long loan from Sunderland.

McCartney said on his return to the club,

"It is brilliant to be coming back. For me personally it will be great to be playing again for a club like West Ham. It is a big opportunity for me and I can't wait to get started again. I am looking forward to being part of the manager's squad and the club's push for promotion."

Good Signing in my opinion, just need another striker - but not Lafferty!! Maybe another loan from the premiership, any ideas?

Re-signing players never works.

There is only one point to make here - He is better than Ilunga. I personally think Ilunga will come good - Bear in mind he hasnt played regularly for some time. When he first come to us he looked very imprrssive, so he defo has it.

George will be another play who needs games, and to prove a point to Mr Bates after his comments playing for Leeds. (Who we have Sat week).

As far as I know Bellamy only played for West Ham once and after collecting his wages on the many occasions he was injured, he couldn't wait to leave once fit again. Dicks was not the same player the same second time around imho.

However as 8.59 says Ilunga is poor and McCarthy was good last time around. There's always a 1st time for a re-signing to work, lets hope its this time.

Does anyone know or have any idea who we might sign next?

A striker would be nice?

10:06 The same old Maynard story keeps popping up.

Rumour is that Andy Johnson deal is still on the cards also.

Also, we have had a bid accepted for a striker(?) but the club will only sell if they can find a replacement. Take your pick who that might be.

All just rumours at this stage.

Would love to see AJ at West ham with Big Carew, that would strike fear in ANY defence.

Cheers for the update 8.50 (Spacemonkey)

Your right about AJ, if he can stay fit he would certainly rattle in his fair share of goals, did read somewhere that Fulham wanted too much for him and we'd pulled out? Rumours again!

Also did hear a rumour we were looking at 2 strikers somewhere abroard, who knows a?

Cheers again.
