Parker Hands in Transfer Request

West Ham have confirmed that Scott Parker has handed in a transfer request. Parker said,

"I have had a fantastic four years at West Ham United and will never forget all the support I have had from the fans and everyone associated with the club.

"The manager and board have tried hard to convince me to stay but at this stage in my career, I need to be playing in the Premier League, especially now that I am involved with England.

"I hope the fans will understand and respect my decision and I wish the club every success in their fight for promotion this season."

West Ham have also announced the signing of midfield free agent Papa Bouba Diop.

Disloyal little shit, if it was just about playing in the premiership there are 19 other clubs he could have gone to. He has been tapped up for months by Redknapp junior and waits till the end of the transfer window to force the boards hand

Let's hope this disloyal little shit goes down with the Scum so we don't have to see him on the pitch again to boo as we pass them when we get promoted. 'Arry in jail for tax evasion, his odious son warned off for tapping up too that's a result. My Charlton mates say he was the same when he left them for Chelsea and look how that worked out! Karma

Good lusk to him its a shame he's gone to the spuds but their the only ones poneying up the asking price

loyalty is dead get over it folks were talking big wads of cash for signing on and playing European football not to mention a chance to play in the euros with england next year.

Best of luck to him he never gave less than 100% for us.

Okay, yes he has given everything for us but as a player so he should. Esp. on 65k a week. That said, everyone knows that if we had more Scott Parkers in the team then we will still be in the league that we belong.

However, handing in a transfer request for the reason of moving to Spurs is criminal.

I am grateful for his service and I for one would never boo him BUT he will defo not be getting a cheer from my direction either.

handing in a transfer request is part of the deal, if he had not put a request in, then west ham would of had to given him a loyalty bonus, image rights payments etc, which would come to 1.5m - 2m. Now whatever west ham recieve it is all theirs!!! so if we get 6m for him, all of that is ours!

I dont want him to go to spurs either but look at the facts.

he wants to stay in london, and only 2 clubs have come in with offers, QPR and Spurs, Spurs are the only club to have met or got near our valuation.

he wants to play for tottenham due to his late dads love for them, he sees this as his last thing for his dad.

He wants PL football to give him the best oppotunity to reach the euros with england next year

West ham NEED him off the payroll!!! Despite what gollivan say in the media, we need 75k a week off our pay roll, and the £6m in west hams pocket to help fund our new purchases and further purchases (either in this or jan window)

He has been a great player, but i personally think that he is at his peak now, and only has one year left, maybe two. Dont be too hard on the fella....... he has done the right thing throughout.

F@@k him! it will be like his time at Chelski all over again hand full of games and he will lose his place in England squad.
So he gave his all for us!! so he bleedin well should have for what he was getting paid.
total muppet, big big mistake.

any fan who boos scott parker when we play against him would be ungratefull pieces of s##t. He was the only player last season that showed any passion or effort and if the other 10 players that where on the pitch with him last season showed d same passion and effort we'd still be a premier lge team and he wouldnt have left...best of luck scotty and thank u for being the only west ham player over the last 2 seasons worthy enough to wear the claret and blue
