Sunday West Ham Gossip

The News of the World seem to be the only paper to have picked up on Julien Faubert's agent saying that he is signing for West Ham. They repeat the rumour that Bordeaux have told the player it is West Ham or nowhere.

The Sunday Express say that five Premiership clubs will battle it out for Carlos Tevez. They say West Ham, Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal are all keen to sign the player. Looks like the paper has just picked the top five clubs in the country then.

The Express also claim that Tevez not only turned down Inter Milan last week but also another un-named Italian club.

The Star say that Boro are ready to make a bid for Booby Zamora. The paper claim Zamora is unhappy at being a fringe player at the club and was behind Tevez and Harewood in Curbishley's teams last season. So this story was obviously written by someone who has no interest in football then.

The Star also repeat last week's news that Portsmouth, Man City, Fulham, and Villa are all interested in Harewood.

The Mirror say Ashton has been working with physiotherapist John Green in Portugal and is fit and ready for the new season. West Ham are ready to match any wage offer that Tevez receives however he will leave West Ham because he wants Champion's League football. Zamora and Harewood have attracted interest from Portsmouth and City.

The Mirror also claim that West Ham are interested in Barcelona hard man Thiago Motta.
