Eggert Speaks Out

Eggert Magnusson in an interview with Sky admitted that he was glad the whole Tevez saga was over. He also said that Terence Brown is "not very welcome at the moment."

Magnusson was at pains to point out that he never thought West Ham would have points deducted,

"What people tend to forget is that the players (Tevez and Javier Mascherano) were always correctly registered with West Ham from the beginning.

"With regards to the fine, it was a very, very heavy fine. I think if you look internationally something like this has never happened before."

Fulham, along with Sheffield United, appealed against the original commission's decision to only fine West Ham. Magnusson confirmed that Fulham had asked West Ham not to play Boa Morte against them and so were therefore attempting third party influence.

Sky will be showing more of this interview throughout the day.
