The Fans Deserve Better

Well Curbishley thinks that West Ham 'fans deserve better", but will they get anything better against Birmingham. It probably depends on whether Parker and Neill recover in time.

Bowyer and Noble were poor on Saturday and both must be worried about their position if Parker is fit. A lot of fans on the West Ham forums over the summer have been adamant that Mullins should be sold. Now it seems he is our saviour if Parker is still injured and it is true West Ham looked far better as a team when he came on against Man City.

Boa Morte, we keep hearing, is going to come good at some point but how long do we have to wait? Curishley could try Paintsil on the right and Ljungberg on the left or Ljungberbg on the right and Etherington on the left. I think Boa Morte should now be forced to prove himself after coming on late as a sub.

Up front things are hardly any better, with a choice of two from Ashton, Bellamy and Zamora. But all of them are going to struggle to score without a bit more creativity from midfield.

It now seems more apparent than ever that we need another winger and striker. Barring some miraculous signings this week can we be confident we will see any better on Saturday?
