Coventry 1 West Ham 2
Lucky, lucky West Ham. For most of this game you couldn't see where a West Ham goal was going to come from. As it happened the first West Ham goal came courtesy of a Coventry player.
Just four minutes after Jay Tabb had given Coventry the lead, heading home Isaac Osbourne's cross from a couple of yards, Marcus Hall put the ball in the back of his own net to make it 1-1. The own goal came from a Neill free-kick into the box, that was cleared to Boa-Morte 18 yards out. Boa-Morte shot left-footed and Hall's attempt at blocking the shot put the ball past his own keeper.
In the dying seconds, with the game looking like it was going to extra time, Boa-Morte headed the ball on into the penalty area. Carlton Cole looked second best to get to the ball first but shook off a defender and slotted the ball home from 12 yards.
Not the most convincing win but a win nevertheless and without the punishment of extra-time.

Ed, thank you so much for the link.
that was perfect !!! and the commentary was in DANISH.. Even better... we looked useless in midfield, defence held up ok, and cole did a good hold up job again.
another 3 injuries to the long list with ferdinand looking like he's done his hamstring in, and mullins and noble aswell..
one question.. we a load of great youngsters in the reserves.. what was curbs doing with 3 right backs on the field! neill, spector and Pantsil!!!!!!
Yep, just for you Darren.
The only problem was it took me all of the first half fiddling about trying to get the stream to work in Blogger - so I missed half the game.
Mind you from the odd scraps I saw it didn't look like I was missing much.
Ed, your analysis was perfect: unconvincing. They just did not seem hungry until the last 20 minutes or so. They needed this win so badly, but I don't see more teams coming along that are supposed to be as "easy" as Coventry...
