Portsmouth vs West Ham

Form and recent history seem to favour Portsmouth for this game. Pompey are unbeaten at home this season and have won their last four games, West Ham have won once in four league games and have lost their last two away games. Pompey also managed the double over West Ham last season, beating us at home and away.

Kanu (knee) and David Nugent (groin) are out with injuries, Sean Hughes and Sean Davis are suspended for Portsmouth. West Ham are set to name the same squad as for Sunderland.

Curbishley will probably start with Ferdinand in defence this week after the mess at the back last week. After the impact of Solano and Boa Morte at the end of the Sunderland game Curbishley may consider dropping Bowyer and Etherington.

West Ham have looked out of sorts recently and despite the scoreline were hardly convincing last week. Realistically Pompey look clear favourites, West Ham will probably be happy with a point from tomorrow's game.
