Blues to Bid for West Ham's Zamora

According to The Daily Mirror Birmingham City are preparing a £4 million bid for Bobby Zamora. However you can spot that the story is a complete fabrication when the paper claims that "Zamora's lack of first team action has alerted City boss Alex McLeish."

Does The Mirror really think that McLeish sees that a player is injured and think to himself "I must have him"? It is interesting that these stories keep appearing concerning Bobby Zamora. None of the papers have tried to claim that Dyer's lack of first team opportunities at West Ham has made him a target for other clubs.

agree- this paper just produces an endless stream of tripe. if birmingham were that interested they d have made the bid in january. not to mention that zamora is going nowhere until and unless we buy a striker in the summer, and even then i d be surprised if he left. does this ragsheet have nothing better to do with its time than speculate about a transfer window that is 4 months away?
