West Ham to Sign Polish Striker

Kumb say that Bobby Zamora has agreed personal terms with Fulham and should sign for Fulham today. Sky and Setanta are both reporting that Zamora is undergoing a medical at Craven Cottage today, so his transfer does look imminent.

Kumb are also reporting that West Ham are signing 16-year-old Polish striker Filip Modelski. Modeleski spent a week on trial with West Ham at the start of July.

Modelski will be the third young player West Ham have signed this summer, after the recent signings of Holmar Orn Eyjolfsson and Balint Bajner.

England Under-19 kick off their campaign to win the European Championship this afternoon at 4.30pm. England are playing the host nation, the Czech Republic. James Tomkins and Freddie Sears are both likely to play. The game is live on Eurosport.

The People claim that Sp#rs are after Upson as they are worried about the risk of injury to Ledley King and WJonathon Woodgate.

The Scottish Daily Record say that West Ham are after Rangers goalkeeper Neil Alexander and may bid £1 million. They claim it could be because West Ham will be without Robert Green who is garnering interest from a number of clubs. However it is far more likely to do with Richard Wright leaving for Ipswich. Ipswich boss Jim Magilton says that Wright's £500,000 move to the club has been delayed as West Ham refuse to release Wright until they have found a replacement.

Modelski is a defender and apparently he's actually 15 (will turn 16 in September).

I think you're right on the defender part and probably right on the age as well. Although a lot of sites are reporting him as being 16.
