Zola to Sign Three Year Contract

Gianfrance Zola has agreed to sign a three year contract to become the new West Ham manager. Zola is due to fly to the UK tomorrow to put pen to paper on a deal that will see Zola unveiled as manager before the weekend.

A club source told the BBC,

"Gianfranco was our first choice. We were very comfortable with the three options we had - Zola, Donadoni and Collins - but Gianfranco came out on top.

His English is very good and he can talk about football with English players and inspire them. He has a record of developing young footballers, which is very important to us, and was obviously a world-class player.

Experienced players like to have a manager they can respect as a footballer.

If he can bring his brilliance as a player to management then i think we are on to a winner.
He knows how the game should be played ie. on the floor and attacking.
I am excited about the prospect of Gianfranco coming can't wait to hear his plans for us lets hope he has complete control of in's and out's and the board give him the funds in january (like they have been promising since they took over)
positive news for a change at upton park
looking forward to welcoming him to our club, hearing "bubbles" ringing out will be a change to the sterile atmos he would have had at chelsea.
lets hope this will be start of something great.
i have feeling it will
