Blades Win Temporary Injunction

Sheffield United have won a temporary injunction stopping West Ham appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport over the FA's Independent Tribunal ruling. West Ham have requested an appeal against the injunction, while Sheffield United will seek a permanent order next year.

CAS is currently deciding whether or not it could have jurisdiction to hear West Ham's appeal and is expected to make an announcement later this month. This decision by the High Court in London will presumably have some bearing on their decision. It would be very strange if CAS decide that they can hear the case and the UK courts say that they can't.
