Club For Sale

It looks like West Ham is now unofficially for sale.

West Ham vice-chairman, Asgeir Fridgeirsson said yesterday,

"He [Gudmundsson] is evaluating all of his business interests, including West Ham. West Ham is a well-run club with no debt and is one of Mr Gudmundsson's most important investments."

"He needs to review in light of what is going on. If you give a call to the owners of all clubs, 60-80 per cent would be considering their stance in the present climate."

The Independent say that despite all the rumours there have been no bids made for West Ham but there 'is understood to be one cash-rich billionaire in particular who is closely monitoring developments.'

Cmonyuirons are reporting that non-executive director Mike Lee has quit the Hammers board but will still carry on his role as director of communications. Mike Lee was of BG's appointments - is his stepping down a sign that something big is about to happen?

There are also rumours around that betting firm SBOBet could be close to a sponsorship deal with West Ham. Considering the West Ham players have been keeping the betting firms afloat for the last couple of years it is the least they could do.
