Green Blasts West Ham

Robert Green has told the Evening Standard that the West Ham players have an inflated idea of their quality,

"We didn't play any football in the second half and I think we're getting above ourselves, thinking we're better then we are at the moment.

"We're in a position where we have to get results. Like Saturday, we didn't defend well for 90 minutes and didn't take our chances. We were sloppy at both ends and you know when you come to Bolton you're going to concede free-kicks and corners and so it proved.

"I think they scored off their 16th corner and with five minutes to go you have to defend properly. We didn't and it cost us. We didn't play well enough before or after our goal to kill the game off."

It is clear West Ham's major problems lie up front. The failure to score goals when the team is in control of the game is becoming very worrying.

He is 100 per cent correct, and he is clearly giving not only the owners of west ham,but players and coaches alike, clear notice that he will not put up with this. And why should he, when he is wanted by other clubs with reliable strikers and defenders?

Was it really worth it to sell Collins ,and now defend so poorly? Was it really worth it to wait til the last second to bring in additional strikers? NO IT WAS NOT. And we are being found out on a regular basis now. And to top it off we ve hacked off England s number one.

Inept owners who are ruining a club with a century plus of history. The players, managers and supporters deserve proper owners ,not scum like this, who are incapable of running any business at all.

Credit to Green for being outspoken and saying that it is not good enough. Now it's down to the players, with the obstacles having been put in front of them by the owners,to make the best of a difficult situation and dig themselves out of this hole.

A hole which we wud not be in,were for inferior ,substandard ownership

Make no mistake a team that leaks Goals at the back and is inept at scoreing up front is a religation cert You can see it even now at the start of the season

It reminds me of the situation when Zola took over from Curbs. Poor defending cost us dearly then, and it's the same today. We sold Collins who has been committed to the club all the time and now the defence looks much worse than it did at the beginning of the season! Hard work for Clarke as well as for Zola!

Perhaps the team is becoming a little inflated with Zola'a pep talks? We need to give a little more time. Even though the results are not there and the club has trouble at many doors, it is great to see the fans standing with the Manager. www.inzolawetrust.com

Although we are clearly in relegation form, lets not forget that the forwards will need time to gell. Its not time to panic yet. Agree with the comments about the owners, their only concern is survival and if they can trouser 5 million and still achieve it then they are very happy.

the current owners would be rubbing their hands together at the thought of all that parachute payment money , plus it then gives them a reason to sell all the high value players , then they would settle for selling the club for less money and sinply walk away leaving our club in tatters !
