Blackburn Annoyed with McCarthy

Blackburn Rovers have issued the following statement concerning Benni McCarthy,

"Blackburn Rovers have received a written offer from West Ham United for Benni McCarthy, who has failed to turn up for the past two training sessions.

Rovers' manager Sam Allardyce said: "We are very disappointed with Benni's non appearance for training and will deal with it separately should he remain here after the transfer window has closed.

"We have said all along that we will listen to offers, but only agree to sell if both the commercial and football reasons satisfy Blackburn Rovers. That situation remains unchanged."

I think Benni McCarthy needed to have signed by 5pm today to be able to play against Portsmouth. Blackburn's statement seems to suggest that this deadline was not met and that he still remains a Blackburn player.

Like I've always said. He will score goals but is a complete tosser personality wise, this goes right back to his Ajax days many many years ago.

goals would be fine at the moment but we do need to look further into it. One thing we do have is a great spirit and we need to keep that. Bellamy messed it up for us, and we could do without BM doing the same.

That said...I think you are right. He will score goals.
