Sullivan Says Dyer Should Retire

David Sullivan is calling for Kieron Dyer to retire from football. Sullivan told The Telegraph that,

"There is one player who hardly plays at all who might have to accept retirement."

Sullivan went on to add that the player earned "£60-70,000 a week". The player concerned is clearly Dyer.

Sullivan also revealed that West Ham have had to give Dean Ashton a year's wages as part of his retirement from football.

"There is one player who has accepted retirement but we have to give him one year's money."

Dyer still has over two years left on his contract so it unlikely that he will consider retirement without West Ham also offering him some kind of compensation.
