West Ham 3 Hull 0

Franco and Spector both started for West Ham. For Hull Bullard was not deemed fit enough to make the squad.

West Ham came out of the blocks flying. Just a minute and half into the game Diamanti nearly caught out Myhill at the near post with a freekick from wide out on the right wing. However it was only a short reprieve for Hull as forty seconds later Behrami scored from ten yards out after a one-two with Franco on the edge of the area.

West Ham then went on to create a number of good chances in the half. Behrami came closest to extending the lead in the 27th minute when he headed a Diamanti cross goalwards from five yards out at the far post. He was only denied his second by a brilliant Myhill save.

Hull finally created some pressure on the West Ham goal in the last five minutes of the half. Their pressure was nearly rewarded when Boateng fired in a shot from the edge of the area forcing a great save from Green, at the expense of a corner.

West Ham started the second half a little nervy but they were helped out in the 53rd minute when Fagan got himself sent off for a second yellow card. Things got even easier six minutes later after Cole got West Ham's second goal of the game. Faubert played a ball forward along the ground from the half way line. Cole ran onto the ball in the area and scored from seven yards.

In the 70th minute Diamanti tried a speculative long shot from inside his own half that forced Myhill to save, at the expense of a corner. Hull then made three substitutions. The change was almost rewarded in the 73rd minute when Altidore shot just wide from 10 yards. However Hull then lost Gardner to an injury and had to play the rest of the game with nine men.

In injury time West Ham chalked up their third goal of the game. Kovac passed to Faubert, who brought the ball into the penalty area and fired home from 12 yards to get his first goal for the club.

A good West Ham win and finally we have a little breathing space between us and the relegation places.

sorry to correct you kier, however it was kovac that passed the ball to faubert for the third goal, not parker!!!

And for me, Faubert was the MOM, he played a excellent game.

Lets hope we can push on from this and continue on up the table.

Does anyone think Cole is doing enough to book his seat on the England Bus?

Great performance, bring on the top 3

So, 2 games we play 442 with a left footer on the left wing & thats 5-0. 1.9million, easy money. First back to back win since March '09. Lets push on now GFZ & prove the doubters (me!) wrong. COYI

Thanks Matt - corrected. Strange I normally mistake Kovac for Behrami.

Kovac gets some stick but he had a good game yesterday. Won the ball for the first goal and an assist for the third.

Faubert is impressing me more and more with each game.
