Players Speak Out in Support of Zola

David Sullivan this week said that Gianfranco Zola was "too nice" to take tough decisions. He later claimed that he was trying to get a reaction out of the team.

It certainly seems to have worked as a number of West Ham players have been keen to openly declare their support for the manager.

Diamanti
"We are all behind the boss. He works very hard and is a top guy and is always the one who takes responsibility when we don't play well. He is always there for us, always encouraging us and always on our side. We don't forget this, so I was extremely pleased to win and when I scored, my first thought was for the boss."

Parker
"Everyone has massive respect for the manager and that was clear to see. We're all pushing in the same direction. We just want him to do well. He's a good man."

Mido
"We are fully behind the manager. I can see how everyone loves him around the place. He's a great character and the players wanted to fight for him."

Good to read. Seems to me that Zola faces a lot of criticism, which often is uncalled for. He's not had an easy job and his efforts should be appreciated.

Glad to see the over paid & under achieving players are behind our over paid & under achieving manager. So how come we're 14th & only 1 point outside relegation & it took our crazy owner to spout off before we see a decent performance???
