West Ham After Henry
West Ham have offered to make Thierry Henry the highest paid player in the club's history in order to tempt him to the club.
David Sullivan doesn't sound too optimistic that the bid will be successful,
"It is very unlikely that we will get him - but we can only try!"
But the West Ham co-owner insists that it is a "a serious offer".
There are also reports that West Ham are among a number of club's trying to sign Man City winger Martin Petrov who is available on a free transfer.

Why don't they do something sensible like try and sign a player who might consider the offer, like Carlos Tevez maybe?? I get the impression he's not 100% happy at Manshitty. Rather try to get him than piss about with another ageing gooner.

Too much money and too old. With our debt ,we don't need expensive short term solutions. We need players at a reasonable cost, with a long term future at the club, not a swan song. If the club is serious about getting its financial house order, why spend silly money on a player who at best cud play two more seasons in the Premiership?
Season ticket renewal time and another publicity stunt from the dildo brothers.
A marque name is always good idea for attracting other players when you have fuck all else to offer them
with a name like henry you would recoup what ever you pay him via shirt sales alone, and if he bangs in some goals along the way we'd zll be happy. plus might teach some of our forwards how to start let alone finnish!
It's true that we should be going for more reasonably priced players lets say for instants N'zogbia but a name like Henry would possibly open the doors for other class acts young and experienced players alike. Though if they intend to pay him anything like what they offered Van nistolroy I'd rather them just go re-sign Zola and stick him upfront haha.
