Pass the Keeper

Sky have concocted a 'Sky Sports understands' merry-go-round of goalkeeping transfers which seems to depend on an (even for Sky) unfeasible number of ifs and buts.

Sky claim that Arsenal will sign Fulham's Schwarzer to replace Manuel Almunia. Fulham will then sign West Ham's Rob Green to replace Schwarzer. West Ham in turn will sign Nigerian keeper Vincent Enyeama to replace Green.

Sky say that Enyeama is admired by Avram Grant but the main evidence they have for the claim is that Enyeama is looking to move clubs. They quote the keeper speaking to the News of the World,

"I expect to hear something new within the next week. It's natural. Everybody wants to get ahead in life so, obviously, I want to move to a different place."
