Parker Upset with West Ham

The Daily Express and The Guardian both claim to know that Scott Parker is upset with West Ham for not consulting him about Sp#rs' transfer offer.

Neither paper has direct quotes from Parker but both claim to know that he would welcome the move as his last chance to play Champions League football. To know Parker's thoughts in that much detail the papers would need to have spoken to the player so it is strange they don't quote him directly.

What might add credence to the rumour is that Parker has only just returned from a holiday with Jamie Redknapp. Surely Harry Redknapp wouldn't stoop to use his son to tap up another team's player.

Redknapps dislike of West Ham is legendary. Knowing as he did that Parker is the only player officially not available, it really is no surprise he has tapped him up.

Be a shame to see Parker go, a big shame, but if he'd rather warm the bench at S***s he's welcome to it. Maybe his leaving would see Mark Noble finally bloom into the player he's always threatened to become.

PFA Football Furlong Raceday at Royal Windsor Racecourse on Sunday, 8th August 2010.

Come and support West Ham and share the excitement of Football’s Day at the Races on Sunday, 8th August 2010 for our chance to win some Premiership silverware.

Football Furlong brings together two of the UK’s great sporting passions – football and racing. Horses and jockeys will race in the shirt colours of Premiership football teams. Each result earns points for the club being represented, points that go towards the PFA Football Furlong League table. At the end of the afternoon the winning football club will lift the PFA Football Furlong trophy.

As well as the racing, there will be lots to see and lots to do. Football stars past and present will be there on the day, and Chelsea FC’s Football in the Community team will be providing free football masterclasses throughout the morning. The infamous Mascot Challenge will also take place and we promise this will be a great day out for everyone.

Harry Redknapp is scum. He knew full well that Parker is the one player that West Ham have made clear, many months ago, that it was not prepared to sell. So what does the Schmuck do? He makes a bid for Parker anyway, and a stupidly low one as well. What a complete and utter moron- if he was serious about Parker he'd bid 17 ,not seven million.

As for Parker, as superb a player as he has been for us ,especially last season, IF the player genuinely wants to leave West Ham,then there is no point in keeping him. He has no guarantee of a starting place at Snott ,which he wud do well to not lose sight of.

Is it really about the prospect of playing Champions League football? Or is it simply about money.

The fact that the player has not come out and publicly stated that he is content at West Ham, and has no desire to leave, tells you all you need to know.

I'd rather he stay, but if he cops an attitude, then for teh right price, good riddance. I hope it doesn't come to that, but I suspect that it will.
