I am left wondering what the attraction of signing so many players from Pompey is. I thought these were a set of players who were relegated last season, maybe I am missing something.

Perhaps some of the players being signed from Pompey are actually decent, but were left with nothing to work with because Portsmouth sold so many others last season. Those who remained last season didn t really stand a chance did they, when Johnson,Distin,Crouch,Defoe and the Eastern European midfielder sold to Tott left, among others.

This was a Portsmouth team that did make it to an FA Cup final. With no money . Think about it
