Sky Sports Understands - Very Little
For what it's worth:
After yesterday announcing that a 'senior source' at West Ham had told them that Grant would be replaced after the Arsenal game Sky Sports now claims a 'senior source' has today told them that Grant's future will be decided this week.
Sky don't say if this the same 'senior source' saying something completely different to what was said yesterday, or a different source who is contradicting their other senior source.
Here's my lack of understanding of the situation:
1. Some journalists are trying to sell copy by second guessing Grant's position and trying to gain some authenticity by inventing some anonymous sources.
or
2. The club are leaking this stuff to the media in an attempt to force Grant to resign and therefore avoid paying him compensation.
or
3. The club have failed to convince any of their managerial targets to take over at West Ham and won't sack Grant until they can name a replacement.
or
4. There is some disagreement on the board about whether to replace Grant or not, so certain board members are trying to the force the issue by releasing stuff to the media.

actually i have been thinking its number 4 all day.
Number 2 no doubt about it. This is the Davids all over, cheap.
Send Brady back on the streets where she can be Vice Chairman of a business she understands
every hour that this goes on pushes us closer to relegation. this needs to be resolved immediately if we are to have even a sniff at staying up
definately number 2...they tried to sack zola for 'gross negligence' to avaoid paying him compo...i hate the new owners...not an ounce of class between any of them
it just seems to me the davids want us to go down.....anybody else think the same?
