Turmoil at West Ham

It has been a shocking 24 hours at West Ham.

I'm not even bothering with the Sunday papers today as it seems that no-one really knows what is going on at the club.

The speculation yesterday that Grant was to be sacked and Martin O'Neill is to be named as his successor for all I know may not have emanated from West Ham. However, whether the talk of of Grant's sacking is true or not, the club should by now have released an official statement to settle the matter one way or the other.

A lot of supporters seem to be getting fed up (as Grant seems to be) with Karen Brady's Sun column. Grant seemed to take particular umbrage at Brady using her column to announce that Sidwell was not signed because of West Ham's depth in midfield.

Looking at the midfield that finished yesterday's game proves the fallacy of that claim. What the club needs now is not the drip feed of self-interested news from Brady's column but an official announcement about Grant's position and some positive action in the transfer market.

Nice blog. I don't remember the owners being so outspoken at Birmingham. Heard its actually Jol that been lined up as manager. It is a strange thing though....I thought Grant was their man so they undermined Zola... but Grant has never had their support...

Turning into a total embarrassment. As had been said by many other fans, either sack him or come out and publicly get behind him but for christs sake do something. Before it's too late,if it isn't already.O'Neil,Jol,Allardyce,I would take any one of them at the moment frankly. One things for sure,if something isn't done very quickly we are going down.

Another day in the football soap opera that is WHUFC!
What a complete effin!! shambles
we have a manager who does not know if he has a job or not!
We have a squad of players who don't know what they are doing!
Neither the Manager or Squad are good enough!
And there are still people on here who think we have a chance of avoiding the drop!!
I agree with craig72 something must be done quickly time is running out.

Agree that it is common sense that the mess on the managerial situation must be cleared up IMMEDIATELY. We have no chance of staying up while the players don't know the status of the manager. Every day we are in limbo is one step closer to relegation.

It is very simple. Either the club should let him go,or the club should come out and categorically deny what has been reported by Sky and other media outlets and state that Grant remains the manager for the forseeable future. The club is losing all credibilty by waiting. It also counter-productive for Brady to be revealing club business through the Sun. Even if her opinion is justified in some cases, airing through the media is inappropriate.
