West Ham Sign O'Neil
West Ham have signed midfielder Gary O'Neil from Middlesbrough on a two-and-a-half year contract. Having signed today he will be eligible for Wednesday night's Carling Cup semi-final return at Birmingham City. As usual the fee is 'undisclosed'.
The official announcement from the West Ham official site also contains a nice little nugget at the end, reading,
"Thomas Hitzlsperger ... is now training fully with the club's reserve squad."

Good to have a new guy. I know most will probably see signing anyone who isn't Pele-esqu is a bad move by whu but I welcome him. I'll give him a fair crack at the whip before I judge. Hope others do the same.
Having Hitz nearly fit is a refreshing bit of news.
O neill will play for the shirt and he will contribute more than all our midefielders bar Parker and Noble
