Ilunga and Piquionne to Doncaster Rovers

The Mirror claim that Freddie Piquionne and Herita Ilunga are both 'ready' to be loaned to Doncaster Rovers.

The Mail say Ilunga has already joined Doncaster on loan and that West Ham will continue to pay the majority of his £33,000 a week wages.

It seems as though Ilunga had his chance at the beginning of the season and blew it, being at least partly responsible for the two late goals against Cardiff and Leeds.

I thought Piquionne had quite a good first half of last season, but he's not done much since. Second half of last season Grant kept playing him out on the right so his performances were as much Grant's fault as his own. This season he hasn't made much of an impact when he's come on, whereas Carew has looked eager. We don't need all three of Cole, Piquionne and Carew. Cole and Carew have made much better starts to the season so if Piquionne goes I won't mind.

Loaning out both makes sense, although I think Ilunga is the only one that's been confirmed.

I wouldn't mind if this was a move to clear some cap to make a better loan offer for Tevez. Hopefully that deal's not completely dead. Come into this world a hammer, leave this world a hammer.
