Fulham vs West Ham - The Predictions

Mark Lawrenson says that "West Ham have an outside chance of qualifying for next season's Uefa Cup." It must have hurt him to admit that. He even says that "Considering the squad Alan Curbishley has to work with and the injuries his team has suffered, the Hammers have had a decent season so far."

Mind you Lawrenson still doesn't believe West Ham has what it takes to beat the worst sides in the league. Lawro predicts a 1-1 draw.

I've been analysing Lawro's predictions for a while now. He averages less than three correct results a week. You could beat that by just putting each game down as a home win.

Sky note that Fulham will be without midfielder Hameur Bouazza but should have McBride in attack. They also say that because England top the Fair Play League if Chelsea win the Carling Cup on Sunday then seventh place in the league will be good enough to qualify for Europe. So West Ham are still fighting for European qualification.

Sky Sports predict a 1-2 win for West Ham

Setanta note that a victory for West Ham will move them into ninth place and potentially to within four points of fifth place.

Setanta also predict a 1-2 West Ham win.

amazing that lawrenson has finally accepted the truth . given that fulham are fighting for survival ,and that they ll take some confidence from recently beating villa ,and from having mcbride back. i think this will be a difficult game for us- a draw wouldn t surprise me. we re going to need to perform significantly better than we have done recently to come away from there with more than a point.
