The Czech Republic beat a poor England side 2-0 in the European Under-19 Championship.

Tomkins looked reasonable in defence for England. Up front Sears was starved of the ball and in the second half occasionally ended up coming deeper than his own midfield in an effort to get a touch of the ball.

The Czech Republic had two players sent off (both for getting two yellows). However, even against nine men, England failed to create anything up front.
