Neill Staying at West Ham
Lucas Neill's agent has again made a statement saying that the West Ham captain is staying at the club. Paddy Dominguez said,
"It doesn't make sense that a manager who brought Lucas to the club and has installed him as captain would look to sell him.
"It would be very strange. Lucas' relationship with Alan Curbishley is good and he is relishing the role of captain."

Maybe I am having deja vu, but isn't this the exact same comments he made at the end of the season?
maybe it's just insomnia causing of deja vu...
The comment from the agent that it doesn t make sense to sell a player who the manager brought to the club and installed as captain, makes sense, provided the player is playing up to a standard that befits being in the starting line-up and captain. He s obviously very experienced, but i m not sure that s enough to warrant him keeping the armband. Not when u have someone who grafts 100 percent of the time the way Parker does.
I think it s also debatable whether he s good enough to be a starter at the club now. When he plays to his potential ,yes. But how many times last season did he play to his potential?
For whatever reason ,and there cud be many ,he simply was not up to it last season ,and in my view ,that cost us a number of points. He seems a spirited guy ,and obviously gave us a massive lift when we beat relegation, but i m very uncertain that he is good enough to be a starter at the club now ,if we are to move into the top 8.

I agree with Chris, I also got a sense of Deja Vu when I read those words...
Me too - that's why I said he had made the statement 'again'.
There is of course the distinct possibility that the press are just rehashing the same quote.
