West Ham Bid for Mattock
Both The Sun and The Mirror are claiming today that West Ham will make a £2 million offer for Leicester defender Joe Mattock. Both papers say that Curbishley failed with a £1.5 million bid for the player in January.

given the sources in question,i.e. unreliable in the extreme ,i m not as bothered by this a si mite be. seems a poor use of the funds gained by selling zamora and pantsil. surely we can do better than this in terms of acquiring new players, than to consider spending money on a player from a team that was relegated from the championship. No matter how good a "prospect" this guy cud be ,one wud hope this is not the way forward.
given that the story comes from 2 dishrags ,hopefully it isn t the way forward,or sideways for that matter
