West Ham Bid £10m for French Striker

French newspaper L'Equipe say West Ham have made a 12 million euros (£9.8 million) bid for Nice striker Loic Remy. The 23-year-old scored 14 goals last season for Nice.

L'Equipe say West Ham have offered to pay the 12 million euros in 3 instalments of 4 million each. The French newspaper claim Nice are likely to turn the offer down.


Sky Sports 'understands' that young striker Jay Simpson might leave Arsenal this summer and that West Ham might be interested in signing him if he is allowed to leave.
