Avram Grant Fighting for his Job? Not Yet.

The News of the World and the Daily Mirror claim that Avram Grant has three more games to save his job. In a nice piece of fantasy The Mirror claims that West Ham fans are bombarding radio stations and message boards calling for his head.

Despite the obvious lies in The Mirror both these articles are great examples of stating the bleeding obvious. All you have to do is change the name of the manager in those articles and you can print the same story, e.g.

"If Alex Ferguson doesn't get any points in the next six games he faces the chop".

So called "supporters" calling for Grant's head after losses to teams currently sitting in 3rd,4th and 5th places should be castrated. The heads that shud be removed are those of these ignorant "fans",not the head of Grant.

How many points would Zola,Curbishley,Pardew or Roeder gotten from these first 3 games? Exactly - the big DONUT. And frankly ,most current Premier League managers would have gotten at a best a point in total from those fixtures.

Grant is not a magician, nor is any manager. We have severely limited finances and are competing in a league where unfortunately even mid-table sides have a lot of money to spend. So managing at West Ham is going to be difficult for anybody. On our budget ,it wud be difficult even for Ferguson or Wenger.

Any moron who thinks that the new players brought in can instantly gel ,like waving a magic wand, is even dumber than he looks or sounds. These idiots are what has allowed the internet to make a mockery of free speech. They shud all just shut up and concentrate on their own jobs and lives,if they have any. And try to support the team constructively as opposed to just creating a more negative atmosphere at Upton Park and piling more pressure on the club.

2:13.

Spot on mate.
Its good to see that not every Iron is in total beliefe of news paper statements and speculation.
100% correct that any other team below you're usuall top 7 would have struggled with our start.
Things will pick up for us at Fulham. Hell, we may even pull off another shock and take a point away from the big C.

should of got 3 points against bolton but yeah a bit early to be calling for his head, despite the dire performance against man utd...i dont expect to beat teams like united or chelsea but i at least expect us to have a go instead of plonking 5 in midfield and just waiting for the 3-o loss. all this speculation is only because martin o'neill is available at the moment anyway.
