Grant - Under No Pressure

Avram Grant claims he is not under any pressure from West Ham's owners,

"The owners have not caused any problems. They are trying to help. We share the same vision and know the difficulties. On the pitch we have had problems but off it there are none and I don't want to point the finger at anyone."

It has been widely reported that Grant has been told that he needs seven points from four games. Two games have gone and he has so far achieved two points.

The Mail say West Ham have been handed a boost in its bid to take over the Olympics Stadium. Lord Moynihan, chairman of the British Olympic Association, said the country must not betray the commitment it made to the IOC to keep an athletics track on the site. West Ham's bid is the only one to make a commitment to keep the track.

he's under huge pressure, because now we're past the stage of being able to use the excuse of a difficult opening four fixtures. And we're past the stage of using the excuse of injuries to Collison,Hitz and Noble, because every team by this stage of the season has lost players to injury/suspension.

So the excuses are no longer there for points dropped to Brum and WBA from winning positions and a point dropped to Arse at the death. 5 dropped points in 3 matches and that is not including the farce vs. Toon.

The team shud enuf quality to survive when u take into account we have: Obinna,Piquionne,Parker,Jacobsen,Dyer and Gabbidon and when fit,Noble and Behrami. And when on form,Green,Upson and Cole.

At some point, before it's too late, grant has to be held accountable. This team is not collecting enuf points ,NOT due to a lack of talent or to injuries. The lack of points is due to questionable tactics and player selection the last 5 matches and to an inability to stay focused for the duration of a match. At some point the manager has to take responsibility without blaming bad refereeing decisions.

Of course the 100 million pound question is ,if grant is let u go,is there anyone available out there who is any better ?
